Definition: A learned numerical parameter that determines the strength (and often direction/sign) of influence of an input or neuron connection in a model, especially in neural networks [Google ML Glossary].
Example in context: “PPV values were used as a weight in order to increase the effectiveness of the decisions of the learners with high success in predicting the positive class on the final decision.” [Ozger 2023]
